Welcome to the Mountain Grove Church!

Although the Brethren of Mountain Grove Church are a congregation with a rich heritage in Christian worship and service extending back 147 years, we are deeply invested in the future of our community.  Our mission is not simply to teach about Jesus, but to teach the redemptive, liberating, and timeless ways of faithfulness that Jesus both commanded and personally demonstrated.

Most of our work is done one person at a time, one family at a time, by teaching a better way of living–a way that emphasizes holiness, peace, love, wisdom, and service–according to the Word of God.  This is the way of eternal life.  It prepares us for living life in the fullest sense–not only in this age, but in the age to come.

Our pursuit of faithfulness takes many different forms: worship, teaching, Bible study, service projects, counseling, youth ministry, financial aid, feeding the hungry, disaster relief, and much more.  Our ministries are as diverse as the people who lead them.  We also collaborate with other local organizations, such as Weekday Religious Education, the Fulks Run Ruritans, WBTX Christian Radio, Operation Christmas Child, and the Community Food Pantry for Fulks Run, Bergton, and Criders.

If you are new to the Brethren of Mountain Grove Church, let me encourage you to visit and get acquainted.  We invite you to join with us in exploring your own calling to ministry and continuing the work of Jesus – Peacefully, Simply, and Together.
